Ismail Ibrahim Ahmed, who topped Wajir County in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, has been awarded a full scholarship by The Adan Keynan Foundation (TAKF) to pursue higher education of his choice.
The Eldas constituency native scored an A (Plain) with 81 points, an achievement local leaders say reflects exceptional discipline and dedication to learning.
Hon. Adan Keynan Wehliye, Eldas Member of Parliament, congratulated Ismail, describing his performance as “remarkable and exemplary” and a source of pride for Eldas Constituency and Wajir County.
“The success should stand as a shining example and a powerful source of motivation to all learners across Eldas, Wajir and the nation at large,” Hon. Keynan said. “Affirming the boundless potential that exists to excel and to always strive for the best.”
TAKF’s scholarship will allow Ismail to pursue any course at an institution of his choice, a move the foundation says is aimed at nurturing talent and rewarding academic excellence.
The MP acknowledged the role of Elnur Mixed Secondary School, teachers, and parents in shaping Ismail’s achievement. “I extend my appreciation to the school management, teachers and parents for the unwavering support, guidance and mentorship that laid a strong foundation for the remarkable achievement,” he said.
Ismail’s scholarship is being hailed as a model for supporting high-achieving students in underserved areas, providing a pathway for further education and opportunities to contribute to society.
