The Wajir County Assembly has approved the County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) 2025 during its sitting held on Tuesday. The CFSP, a key policy instrument, outlines the county’s medium-term economic and fiscal framework, setting out revenue mobilisation plans, sectoral expenditure ceilings, and development priorities aimed at fostering inclusive growth and sustainable development.
Aligned with national development goals, the CFSP provides a strategic roadmap for how public resources will be allocated across various sectors, ensuring prudent financial planning and effective service delivery.
In the same sitting, the County Assembly also tabled the Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2025/2026. The estimates detail projected revenues and proposed expenditures, forming the basis for implementation of programmes and projects across county departments. These projections are drawn directly from the priorities identified in the CFSP.
The Budget Estimates will now proceed to the next phase, which involves scrutiny through sectoral committee reviews and public participation forums before final approval through the Appropriation Bill.
