Kenya has joined fellow African nations in commemorating the 2025 edition of Africa Public Service Day (APSD), currently being held at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This year’s theme is: “Enhancing the Agility and Resilience of Public Institutions to Achieve Equitable Governance and Rapidly Address Historical Service Delivery Gaps.”
In line with the theme, Kenya is presenting a wide range of innovative public service solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and service delivery within the public sector.
Among the institutions exhibiting their innovations are: The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration – Automated Reporting Management Information System, Kenya Forestry Research Institute – JazaMiti Initiative, Baringo National Polytechnic – Water Recycling Technology, Huduma Kenya – The Universal Agent, Tharaka University – Poultry MeloVax, Kenya Ports Authority – KARGOPAY
These innovations reflect Kenya’s ongoing commitment to improving governance and service delivery through cross-sectoral collaboration and technological progress.
The Kenyan delegation is led by Dr Jane Kere Imbunya, Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development.
