Wajir County Assembly invites public to participate in 2025/2026 budget estimates

The County Assembly of Wajir has officially called on residents to take part in public participation forums and submit memoranda concerning the Wajir County Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2025/2026.

According to an announcement made on the Assembly’s official Facebook page, the public engagement forums will be held across all six sub-counties between 21 and 23 July 2025. These forums aim to give citizens an opportunity to voice their views and priorities, ensuring that the budget reflects the needs and aspirations of local communities.

The Assembly encouraged individuals and interest groups to submit written memoranda during the forums or through designated channels provided by the assembly.

Residents are urged to attend in large numbers and actively contribute to shaping the county’s development agenda for the coming financial year.

Public participation in budget-making is a constitutional requirement in Kenya and a critical element of transparent and inclusive governance.
